Wrestlemania weekend! Yes I attended, during that time I felt different about the product as each day went by.

Smackdown was sort of mid-show. It wasn’t really that much of an amazing experience like the first time I saw a smackdown. I wasn’t really invested because I’ve never been to a Monday Night Raw and I wanted to attend that show more than ever. Especially since I knew we had Wrestlemania tickets. So not only was I getting to attend a Monday night Raw. I was attending THEEEE Monday night Raw. The Raw after Wrestlemania.

Let me explain…

NXT Stand and Deliver did not disappoint at all. I got to witness Indi Hartwell take her first women’s championship as Dexter Lumis helped her up that ladder for her to grab the gold. Then I got to see The Rock’s daughter in a dark match debut that night. Ava Raine as she was a part of The Schism faction. They took on Chase U. Watching Johnny Gargano go to town on Grayson Waller was a sight to see in an unsanctioned match. We also got to see a NEW NXT Champion in Carmelo Hayes. HIM as he referred to himself sporting the purple and gold paying homage to the Lakers as he was in our town.

Arriving in Inglewood I really didn’t know what to expect. Seeing that stadium and stage for the first time was breathtaking.

I’m sure many of you have seen most of WrestleMania and know the results, we don’t have to rediscuss that night 1 was amazing Sami and Kevin going home with both those titles. It was night 2 that felt off, The show felt super different this day, Omos takes an L after only 3 Germans and 1 F5. I let it slide. Then ads started to just begin in a flurry. What you saw on tv happened in the arena, Non stop Ads. We get to the Hell in a Cell match and even while the cage was being lowered. There was an AD! Ok we can talk about night 1 where there was product placement for cereal during Rey and Dom’s match. We can also discuss during another match there was Taxes. We can only assume that’s because intuit (turbo tax) was building a new arena for the clippers next door. Thats fine I guess. We get to the main event and before it starts you guessed it! ADS! Cody and Roman put on a hell of a match. The outcome left the crowed losing their minds, everyone wanted Cody to take the W. This is where everything was apparent at this point.

Oh boy! here we go! We get to Monday Night Raw! The excitement for me starts. I get to my seat while Triple H is giving his speech about how WWE is not going to change as everyone in the room has heard about the merger with UFC and WWE. Welp! We quickly realized during the show this was ALL BS! Matches were trash, and Seth’s promo was cut during the show. We get a weird promo between Bianca and Rhea. Brock Lesnar is buddy-buddy with Cody all of a sudden. I seen that heel turn a mile away. After all that disappointment we all realized what has happened. Vince McMahon sold the show only to gain creative control again.

After watching this video, you can clearly see he sold it to his “best friend” or “good friend” ARI to be a great villain of the industry. These out-of-touch men are doing this for the wealth and less for the quality of the product. You can read more about this deal from Sports Illustrated as Justin Barrassd covered it the day of. April 3rd the day this all happened. Same day as that horrific Monday Night Raw.

The last I can say is WWE has filtered everything that happened that night at crypto as my crowd was a Wrestlemania crowd. We booed we cursed we even threw beach balls. WWE had security escorting people out and popped beach balls left and right. filtered all the chants on TV.
